Most network operators lock the phone to thier network, this is done mostly on pay-monthly contracts but sometimes occurs on pay as you go. In order to switch to a different networks, you must unlock the mobile for this to happen. On the other hand, if a phone has been blocked then this indicates that is has been stolen or back-listed by the networks, therefore its illegal to attempt to unblock the phone.
Important- Before you attempt to unlock the mobile phone, you should be aware that an unlocked phone is of your possesion, and that you have the right to unlock it. - The Network (and Country) to which the phone is locked
- The Manufacturer and Phone Model
- And the phones IMEI number, its a 15 digit serial number, you can find it by typing *#06# on your phone keypad.
